Day 65

Inheritance law reviewed (Father's provision for those with no male offspring - HE allowed the females to inherit)

Review of of Jewish Law and History

Exhortation to obey

Review of Sinai events - the Israelites heard Father give the law - and did not want to hear HIM. How sad. How often do I 'hear' Father's word by reading, preaching, studying, exhortation and decide I do not want to hear? O' Lord, give Your children ears that desire to hear and obey.

First commandment -
Deu 6:3 Hear therefore, O Israel, and observe to do it; that it may be well with thee, and that ye may increase mightily, as the LORD God of thy fathers hath promised thee, in the land that floweth with milk and honey.

Deu 6:4 Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:

Deu 6:5 And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.

Deu 6:6 And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:

Deu 6:7 And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.

Love the Lord - that exact phrase is found 17x in the Word.

Mat 22:37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.

Psa 97:10 Ye that love the LORD, hate evil: he preserveth the souls of his saints; he delivereth them out of the hand of the wicked.

Do I love the Lord with the totality of my being? Do I hate evil? Lord, cleanse and wash these imperfect vessels that You have chosen to glorify and represent You on this side of glory. Let us all have a renewed sense of loving you wholly and completely. May we give a proper estimate of who You are in all that we say, do and think.

Blessings beloved of the Lord ~ Melissa
