*~*~*~*~*~*

Ezekiel 28:3 - Behold, thou are wiser than Daniel; there is no secret that they can hide from thee: - wiser than Daniel? Pretty lofty commendation. Daniel was elevated, by God, to a lofty position of authority. Able to discern dreams and make interpretations. This tribute, nestled within the prophecy against Tyrus, states the prince of Tyrus had great wisdom. Yet, his kingdom was being judged, as was he. This is quite scary...wisdom is the principal thing, get wisdom, get understanding the Word of God tells us...yet even if we have it, we can still be proud, arrogant? Did the price of Tyrus have only the wisdom of the world? How could that be if it was compared to Daniel? Daniel had wisdom from God, does this equate the prince of Tyrus with the same? This is quite frightening...if an unsaved person (assumption) could have the wisdom of God and still not get 'it' - are we in danger? Do we rely on our 'wisdom', trusting it to guide us? Scary proposition...are we really seeking and applying the TRUE wisdom of God in every situation and circumstance?

Jeremiah 33:20-21 - Thus saith the Lord; if ye can break my covenant of the day, and my covenant of the night, and that there should not be day and night in their season; then may also my covenant be broken with David my servant, that he should not have a son to reign upon his throne; and with the Levites the priests, my ministers.

Covenant - H1285 - From H1262 (in the sense of cutting (like H1254)); a compact (because made by passing between pieces of flesh):

No one, ever, has been able to change the sequence of day to night. NEVER...HAHAHAHA and man thinks he is in control? Nothing will thwart the will of a Sovereign and Holy God...nothing.

I liked Gill's commentary:

Jer 33:20 Thus saith the Lord, if you can break my covenant of the day,
and my covenant of the night,.... The same with the ordinances of the sun, moon, and stars, Jer_31:35; the original constitution and law of nature, settled from the beginning of the world, and observed ever since, in the constant revolution of day and night; and which was formed into a covenant and promise to Noah, after the deluge, that day and night should not cease, as long as the earth remained, Gen_8:22; and which has never been, nor can be, broken and made void: so

that there should not be day and night in their season; or turn; continually succeeding each other: this, as it would not be attempted, so could never be effected by any mortals, if it were.
