Lamentations 3:22-23 - It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because HIS compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.
"Great is Thy faithfulness," O God my Father,
There is no shadow of turning with Thee;
Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not
As Thou hast been Thou forever wilt be.
"Great is Thy faithfulness!" "Great is Thy faithfulness!"
Morning by morning new mercies I see;
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided—
"Great is Thy faithfulness," Lord, unto me!
Summer and winter, and springtime and harvest,
Sun, moon and stars in their courses above,
Join with all nature in manifold witness
To Thy great faithfulness, mercy and love.
Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth,
Thy own dear presence to cheer and to guide;
Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow,
Blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside!
Or if you would like to listen:
Where would we be if HE was not merciful? Full of grace? Compassionate? O' God our God, who else is like You...to whom else could we go to find such attributes? You, Father, alone are worthy of all honor, glory and praise. Father, forgive our nation. Not because of anything or anyone in it...simply because of Your magnificent nature...O' Lord, open eyes and deaf ears to see and hear. Raise up a multitude of voices throughout this nation to proclaim and rightly divide Your word.
Jeremiah 40:2-3 - And the captain of the guard took Jeremiah, and said unto him, The Lord thy God hath pronounced this evil upon this place. Now the Lord had brought it, and done according as he hath said: because ye have sinned against the Lord, and have not obeyed his voice, therefore this thing is come upon you.
A pagan conqueror states to Jeremiah what he has been telling Judah all along...is that preaching to the choir? Even the pagans knew why Judah was being judged!
