Day 239
Jeremiah reluctantly leads in exodus of rebels to Egypt - 2 Kings 25:26; Jeremiah 41:16-18; 42:1-22; 43:1-13
Jeremiah's prophecy against Egypt - Jeremiah 46:13-28
To the Jews in Egypt - Jeremiah 44:1-30
*~*~*~*~*~
Jeremiah waited 10 days for an answer...this reminds me of when Daniel is praying and the angel says his prayer was heard, but the answer delayed. How many times have we prayed and waited? How patient are we for an answer? How often do we go ahead, when we should wait or have 'missed' a no from Father?
Jeremiah 43:2 - ...proud men... - proud - H2086 - From H2102; arrogant: - presumptuous, proud. H2102 - A primitive root; to seethe; figuratively to be insolent:
They said they would listen and do what Jeremiah told them...they did not...and God continued to judge them. They actually thought they were suffering ill effects from NOT worshiping false gods/idols. How sad. Reflection...if Father 'tells' me to do or not do something, how well am I listening? How can I hear HIM, unless I spend time getting to know HIM, HIS will, HIS desires via HIS word?
I am still pondering the word translated in the Bible as Jew - found this article - www.assemblyoftrueisrael.com/TruthPage/the_word_jew.html
An interesting note...those who fled into the Caucasus Mountains were thereafter known as Caucasians.
