Day 215-11

2Ki 19:6  And Isaiah said unto them, Thus shall ye say to your master, Thus saith the LORD, Be not afraid of the words which thou hast heard, with which the servants of the king of Assyria have blasphemed (H1442) me.

I have always been intrigued by that word, blasphemed, so chasing...

Lev 24:11  And the Israelitish woman's son blasphemed (H5344) the name of the LORD, and cursed. And they brought him unto Moses: (and his mother's name was Shelomith, the daughter of Dibri, of the tribe of Dan:)

2Ki 19:22  Whom hast thou reproached and blasphemed? (H1442) and against whom hast thou exalted thy voice, and lifted up thine eyes on high? even against the Holy One of Israel.

Psa 74:18  Remember this, that the enemy hath reproached, O LORD, and that the foolish people have blasphemed (H5006) thy name.

Isa 37:6  And Isaiah said unto them, Thus shall ye say unto your master, Thus saith the LORD, Be not afraid of the words that thou hast heard, wherewith the servants of the king of Assyria have blasphemed (H1442) me.

Isa 37:23  Whom hast thou reproached and blasphemed? (H1442) and against whom hast thou exalted thy voice, and lifted up thine eyes on high? even against the Holy One of Israel.

Isa 52:5  Now therefore, what have I here, saith the LORD, that my people is taken away for nought? they that rule over them make them to howl, saith the LORD; and my name continually every day is blasphemed. (H5006)

Isa 65:7  Your iniquities, and the iniquities of your fathers together, saith the LORD, which have burned incense upon the mountains, and blasphemed (H2778) me upon the hills: therefore will I measure their former work into their bosom.

Eze 20:27  Therefore, son of man, speak unto the house of Israel, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Yet in this your fathers have blasphemed (H1442) me, in that they have committed a trespass against me.

Act 18:6  And when they opposed themselves, and blasphemed, (G987) he shook his raiment, and said unto them, Your blood be upon your own heads; I am clean: from henceforth I will go unto the Gentiles.

Rom 2:24  For the name of God is blasphemed (G987) among the Gentiles through you, as it is written.

1Ti 6:1  Let as many servants as are under the yoke count their own masters worthy of all honour, that the name of God and his doctrine be not blasphemed. (G987)

Tit 2:5  To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed. (G987)

Rev 16:9  And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed (G987) the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory.

Rev 16:11  And blasphemed (G987) the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and repented not of their deeds.

Rev 16:21  And there fell upon men a great hail out of heaven, every stone about the weight of a talent: and men blasphemed (G987) God because of the plague of the hail; for the plague thereof was exceeding great.

Am I causing His name to be blasphemed...do I stop to think about how my words and actions may reflect upon Him in a negative fashion?  O Lord...cause me to be a better reflection of You more and more daily.  Stir a passionate desire to know and grow more deeper and intimate with and for You with each passing moment.

May these words continually be resonating with in me and reflecting outward:

Psa 73:25  Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee.

Psa 73:26  My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever.
