Tares not weeds?

To clarify my posting earlier in stating that the tares were not weeds.  My thought was that in calling them weeds people tend to associate weeds with something that is easily recognized and rooted out before bearing fruit.


Those who were intimate with the fields did not discern until both brought forth fruit.


This is not the case with darnel.


Tares - G2215 - Of uncertain origin; darnel or false grain.



I have black and white pictures of both bearded darnel and wheat which I am attempting to incorporate into this post.  :-)
