Day 35 ~ Further instructions about the tabernacle.

Middle bar ~ Overlay of gold (remember where they got all that gold?) ~ inner vail ~ outer vail ~ brazen altar ~ court ~ hangings for gate of court ~ oil for the light ~ altar of incense ~ laver of brass ~ incense and spices (do any of these ingredients sound familiar) ~ workmen assigned to tasks.

Thank you Father that by the shed, atoning blood of your most Holy Son, Christ Jesus we can enter the Holy of Holies and come to Your throne as sons and daughters. Lord, bless all of your children this day with strength in and through the sanctification process, let our hearts cry be to hear you say, 'Well done, thou good and faithful servant.'

Blessings!

Day 33 ~ God outlines injuries to persons and the restitution/results ~ Three National Feasts: Unleavened Bread; Feast of Firstfruits; Feast of Ingathering ~ God's covenant with Israel (Ex 23:20-33).

Feasts - I would enjoy doing an in-depth study on the feasts. It has always been my understanding that the first three (3) feasts were fulfilled by Jesus and that last four (4) were yet to be fulfilled at HIS return. I am ashamed to admit that I can not list off all seven (7) - task, task, just another area I need to work on. Praying for all of you, please pray for me. :-)

This was a follow up post:

Feasts Correction

After a comment from a sister about the feasts and a fabulous, thrilling follow up conversation with her - I went back and did some research on the feasts - this is ONLY preliminary.

There are 7 feasts - 4 are SPRING and 3 are WINTER - I had them flipped...

Here they are in the order Father gave them to Israel:

Passover - Jesus fulfilled as the Passover Lamb
Unleavened Bread -
Firstfruits - Jesus was the firstfruit of the harvest to follow
Weeks - Pentecost (50 days after firstfruits - 50 means jubilee)
Trumpets - Not yet fulfilled - speculation (need to study more) that this is either the rapture or Jesus' return
Atonement - Jews
Tabernacles - Jews

I have a book which another sister and I may go through this summer on the feasts, if anyone has more to offer on the subject, please feel free to jump in!

Day 32 ~ Read Through the Bible ~ Jethro, Moses' FIL visits and gives godly counsel, insight and wisdom ~ giving of the 10 Words, to ALL the people ~ instructions regarding masters and servants.

O' Lord help each of us to respect those who are older and wiser in the faith, to hear and hearken to their counsel. Lord help us not to be fearful or afraid of Your words, help us to continually seek You and Your words.

10 Words - I had missed this previously, but the people HEARD God speak - and were afraid...fearful. I find it interesting that if a maidservant is given in marriage to a master and he is not pleased with her that he is NOT supposed to diminish her food, raiment or duty of marriage. I did not look up duty of marriage, but am guessing it means to provide offspring. Alimony, God's way...interesting.
